Oh yeah he's a good player, I just mean people talking about him as if he's never heard of Everton and claiming he would t even consider us is over the top IMO.

I think that's unrealistic to think he won't have heard of us. It's indicative of the incredibly negative attitude Evertonians seem to have with transfers. It's always "We won't sign anyone and the ones we sign will be ****". I can't honestly think of any other teams in the top half of the league who think like that.
On Honda, he will be aware of our interest if we are interested, he certainly will know who we are and how much he would play, possibly how much we'd pay and he has his decision to make. The positive thing is that we might be in for a player of high calibre. If he doesn't pick us, hopefully we have more options.

The advantage we have is Martinez is there scouting him right now . If he can get a word in too him about the project that he wants to build then it could persuade him . With big dunc at the under 20s I can see him reporting back to Martinez weather Barkley is ready yet and I don't think he is to be a full first starter so that should open the door for Honda
