An attacking lineup containing Gordon, KLP, Dele, DCL, Broja with Simms and possibly Dobbin as well is enough depth. Especially so if Iwobi and Gray remain here.

It’s rare that an actual bid will be made totally out of the blue though, it’s likely that for whatever reason they’ve been led to believe that a bid like that isn’t a million miles away from what they’d accept.

Its an absolute tactic, you trigger the player to want the move and increase your leverage in negotiations. We know what we are doing.

Spurs just did the same thing with Richarlison.
