I'm not going to make an apology for appearing condescending. This is Everton's history.

If people need shaking out of apathy, then them moaning at me is better than them ****ging off the INSTITUTION that is Everton Football Club.

I'm not blind. I know where are weaknesses are. But I also know our strengths too.

Fair enough. I know it wasn't your intent, so I was just trying to inject a bit of reason into this mental thread ^^

People have gone over the top here as I said before.

It's basically Matt's way of saying "COME ON YOU F&%^ING BLUE BOYS" basically, so fair enough.

Being a foreign Everton fan who is not able to live the "blue" life day in, and day out, I rely heavily on sound people like most on this forum to artificially inject the spirit into my veins.

When I first realized how great of a sport soccer is (5 years ago) I had a lot of learning to do.. I didn't just claim to like soccer, I really got involved with research and the like.. I eventually found out about the premier league and realized this was the league I should be watching.
Then I needed a team! I wikied all the top flight teams and even the teams in the championship to see if I can get an idea of their history and fanbase..

My results were scary now when I think of it.. I chose Newcastle, Leeds, and Everton.. Based on a mix of history/ Fans..
The deciding factor was Tim Howard, I thought.

But, it wasn't until I really started delving into Everton football club when I realized there was much much more..
Tim Howard could leave tomorrow and it would mean nothing to me!! (I would wonder who we could get to replace him, mind)

My point is.. The history, and the fans are what I hold on too.. It's the reason I'm here..

To think I could be on a newcastle forum is a dreadful thought.

Anyways, keep these threads coming is what I'm trying to say I guess.

There it is again like I don´t fkn know.Like I need it ramming down me throat every fkn post! And what are you doing about it Cena?Besides getting on me nips?

Nah Cena's boss mate. He's unfortunately had this - negative stuff in every thread. Eventually it gets to you.

Its been a tough season due to many reasons. But one thing about Football... and Everton - is a capacity to bounce back, renew ourselves and generally turn ****e into bossness.

Thats the point.

You do know that - aside from him having boss feet / boss head - that this is why Landon Donovan and Tim Cahill were welcomed with open arms from the other end of the earth.

THEY GOT IT.

So do you. Don't lose it.

To be fair there are a LOT of posters who are painting things as overly dire and dark, when they are nothing of the kind unless the only measure of success or satisfaction you get from the club is to win the league or something. Yes, reasonable debate and fair criticism can always be justified (although you can always get two Evertonians to disagree on just about everything, so it's not like there's a "right" and "wrong" answer to most things).

We're mid table at the moment, not too far off Europe, and still alive in the FA Cup. We've taken 4 points off the RS this year. We've drawn with Man U and Chelsea, and beaten Man City at their place. Those are facts, not spin. NOW, we have struggled against the lesser lights of the league, but I ask you, would you feel better if it was the other way around? If we were beating the the lesser teams and losing consistently to the better teams, I'd be a lot less hopeful because that would indicate a gulf in class between us and them. What this season has been for me is frustrating, but NOT depressing.

Just too much negativity for my taste, but I'm not telling anyone what they can and can't say. I get a lot more satisfaction out of being an Evertonian than negativity.

Not trying to have a go at anyone on this thread or anything. But I, for one, don't really mind Matty's pep rallies, and his talk about history. And he's right, if you think his posts are repetitive or useless then don't contribute to the thread. It's pretty easy.

But I'm an optimist by nature so that's how I look at it. Every game is an opportunity to do something great. It's why I love sports. You never know what's going to happen, even if you tell yourself over and over that you do.

That must have took you about an hour you old blert lol. Quality

How can you even put those 2 names in the same sentence? Baffling really......

I can seriously see Landon Donovan following Everton when he's in his 50's using twitter. Or if he's lucky... playing for us again.

As for Cahill... well he's broken records at Everton. Need not say more.

Wow, all i said was i wish i could be as happy as you.

To answer you question, been to every game this season, still pay my money no matter how bad it has been, does this make me a better fan than you - no of course it doesn't!

I'm just fed up of seeing our best player leave for the last 18 months leave for practically nothing. I'm fed up of not having transfer funds to help us compete for the League, never mind just Europe. Surely you can understand this? Doesn't it annoy you that Man City have signed Dzeko when LCAB has stated that he would of WALKED to Everton for £15m 2 years ago, but we couldn't afford him?

If you happy with how things are now, fine that is your opinion to have. I'm expecting an apology, i haven't antagonised you or slated you for having an opinion, like you have me.

Great post that mate. You got great taste by the way .

I know he is ,I remember him from last time . Sorry Cena mate was a bit strong .But the sheer amout of negitivity is astounding at times you´d think we were West Ham. Hopefully it will improve with : A: Billy scoring a hatrick against forementioned team. :B the end of this tedious tranfer window. . I love you all your all Evertonians.

Apology accepted mate.

I'm not being negative, i'm being realistic. We can't go every season not spending money when teams like Stoke, Birmingham and the sort are outspending us. We will get left behind. That is the nature of football now
