Just how good will Vaughan be?

I know it seems like Vaughan has been around for ever and a day, but does anyone know how good his stats are. He has only played for Everton 19 times, and scored 6 goals within that time. In 3 years, ish. To me it puts into perspective exactly how blighted his fledging career has been with injuries. The lad has character to keep bouncing back and I believe will make him a better person on and off the field.

In answer to the topic title/question. My answer will be,....He has the temperament, raw ability and club around him to be absolute class for many years to come and an eventual Goodison Legend. He is an example to us all on how to fight for what you want and to stay focused. I raise my glass to Master Vaughan and will look forward to the years we will share as Toffeemen.

the kid has got plenty of quality an could be one of the best. every time he gets his chance he dont disapoint. him an vic are the future!!!! coyb.

I share your hopes for him, Gazdalf, and I'm psyched already about what he has achieved in spite of the injuries.

I just hope that he is not a sportsman who is cursed to have an injury-prone body.

yeah he looks a class act to me!!

read in the paper on monday that he could run the 100m in 11.5 secs when he was 13 years old and was the 3rd fastest in the country for his age then!!

so i wonder who is faster aj or vaughan?

I hope he doesn't end up like that 17year old wonderkid from Chelsea who has been blighted by injuries he is now only a Birmingham sub.

He is going to be...AC Milans next striker...thats according to my footy manager :)

I thijk hes going to be great, hes got more ambition than the strikers, has more speed than johnson (imo), more determination than all of the strikers, and isnt afraid to shoot. Hes great...

Seems darn good to me already. He just needs to stay healthy. He has pace and a sharp shooters eye. Great understudy to AJ as Victor is to YAK. Not to shabby at the moment for us lot. Good to see him get the hunger back right away last weekend.(y)

i thought i had read it some were but i dont read this paper but hay its still a good read:

Dorrington Vaughan, a former rugby union player with Preston Grasshoppers, has backed his son's progress since he joined Everton at the age of six, scoring 103 goals in 29 games for the youth team in 1998-99. Yet his talents extended beyond football. At 13 he ran the 100m in 11.5sec to become the third-quickest sprinter of his age in the country. Following in his father's footsteps, he flourished on the wing or at centre for Lichfield and the Staffordshire Under-14s. Eventually, the all-rounder faced a choice.

Yep he looks the business, but injuries do seem to follow him.

OK, so we all agree he's class and got bags of potential, but what are his weaknesses? Injuries aside.

Hes not injury prone.

He gets stupid injuries because of his over enthusiasm, once he learns to curb his enthusiasm, he'll go on to bigger and better things and probably one day... in a Man Utd shirt

probably coolness infront of goal, hes missed a few sitters in the past...not that many but thats all i can think of :( - i wouold say strength, but hes got the pace which beats the defender also...
