20 mill ain't enough, remember we paid 15 mill for Fellaini, who still has a long way to go before he is on Lescotts level (as an England international etc.). If we get 25 mill , I'll let him go. Don't think it would happen tough, because Jagielka is out until November.

Lescott is nearly 27 and has played a handful of shaky games for England.

Fellaini is 21 and has played a lot more games for his country.

Fellaini will be the player of the season if Moyes can sort him out this pre season.

I reckon Azzbot was in that hotel in Dubai with Hughes, Terry and Lescott!

We can console ourselves that Rodwell will be a quality centre half, however any transfer should be done in isolation of other factors and on premiership merit alone.

Play hardball and get the max from City.

And do it now then we can get on with pre-season.

I've actualy changed my mind on this one. If we get good money for him, we should let him go. He wasn't nearly as good last season as he was the season before. As has been said, he's 27, and it'll be great business if we get 20m+ for him.

However, we will definitely need to sign a replacement. 2 centre halves is not enough.

Another thing, I hate hearing Rodwell's name being mentioned as a centre half. For me, he's already shown he's a better CM than Phil. We need Phil at right back where he's best.

I still have hopes of Rodwell becoming a dominant central midfielder rather than a center half.

Midfield is where the battles are won and lost, and I just love the way Rodwell always makes himself available and then sprays the ball around from the middle of the park. Midfield has far more influence over the course of a whole game.

I think Lescott will be allowed to leave. Probably a gentleman's agreement with Hughes that we can have Jo, with Lescott eventually being allowed to go the other way - although not until we have already signed a replacement.

Have to say though that seeing the price they are were willing to pay for Terry, we should not accept anything less than £20m.

Mr Parker, where did you get 2 centre halfs from? If Lescott goes we will only have one as Jags will be out until past Xmas, really wake up there.

If we have to replace Lescott, I think we should try for Upson.

It looks likely that Lescott will be an ex-Toffee by each passing week, saying that he could stay, we will just have to see.

What pesses me off is that now that MCFC have all this money at their disposal they think they have the right to go and make a bid for anyone.

Let's not forget this is a general perpetual mediocre outfit who have done nothing whatsoever since the start of the 1970s, (one league cup and an FA cup final appearance aside) and now some have them as possible dark horses for honors, or even the Title.

Let's have some sense.

Sharpy says don't sell Lescott. I really agree.

But if we can nab Moutinho with the proceeds I may be more inclined to part with him. I just don't think we have a lot of money to spend and if we can spend wisely on a creative midfielder like Arteta then I believe we would be better for it.

However Moyes is a disciple of a solid back four and this has served him well. I would expect a championship level midfielder in this term for a cut rate price.

I have to disagree with Adam over Jags. I cannot see him being match fit by November. Anyway if we had to rely on just Yobo, how far in the Europa Cup will we get?:dodgy:

Lescott had murder with Moyes over the transfer yesterday.

Saying he wants to go, Moyes said your staying etc.

Expect him to be gone this week (y)

Lescott was not even back from his summer break yesterday....as with the other internationals they were given an extended break...you ****** hoser
