Excellent news - and many thanks to the OP.

I'm deffo feeling the love for the current renaissance of Moyes. Attacking gusto, attractive signings, brave sales (although they were obvious) and now blooding youngsters.

Wow.

what about the persistant playing of Hibbert, Neville + Osman at every opportunity

Yes, another fair point. Although I suspect he'll revert to type and do so for every league game possible! Plus, IF we managed to get a decent run in this cup, he'd soon drop Junior et al for the trusty warriors of Neville, Osman etc.

As I say, I'll be the happiest man alive to be proven wrong and made to eat the biggest ever slice of humble pie. I'd actually eat the whole pie, never mind a slice, if Moyes finally shed his cautiousness and delivered a shiny tin pot for us.

Hibbert, Neville and Osman are all good players. There are better players out there obviously, but until they are playing for us Moyes can't really select them can he?

How about giving some credit to players that've have played an important role in our current form?!

I don't really know much about him besides the fact he's a short young Portuguese mdfielder, anyone who knows much on him care to elaborate?

He's absolutely tiny, but very strong and likes to get stuck in. Good on the ball, he looked good in pre-season.

Aldridge was steaming off him on LFC TV during the mini-derby last year. He looked very comfortable on the ball and like he had a nice range of passing. The handful of match reports I've read on him always make the point that he's more of a ball winner than his size would suggest. He has been labelled 'the new Ramires' as a youngster but that's just because he's a black center mid who came through at Benfica.
