I wouldn't say it's a lot like it really.

I never said nanana I was right, just that even given those transfers being yet to happen, it probably wasn't so ridiculous a suggestion. Even if we hadn't sold anyone and had signed the players we did, I'd still want a Mikel replacement.

Fair enough, I was probably a bit too harsh.

I envisioned we'd be able to play two out of Fellaini, Rodwell and Gibson in the CM slots and then we sold one, moved another further up the pitch and had the third injured which has left us really weak there.

In hindsight you kind of had a point.

Barkley starts two league games in which he's our best midfielder then doesn't get another league start all season.

As much as I like Barkley, and as well as he played in the QPR game, he had an absolute nightmare second time around.

They were all bad. That doesn't make his performance good, though. I remember him giving the ball away a lot, trying too hard, and giving away a penalty.

Not saying he deserved to spend the rest of the season on the bench/in reserves like, just he wasn't the best midfielder on show in those two games.

QPR he was head and shoulders above, though.

think juniour is far too small for a central midfielder. decent premiership opposition will own him. Naismith's terrible pass started the rot for the first goal and as for that missed header..... well i hope moyes smacked him in the head when he entered the changing room at half time. Naismith has dropped down a couple of pegs in my estimations now.

Xavi, Sneijder,Wilshire, Modric.... Size does not determine the quality of a central midfielder. Junior isn't that great, but it's not because of his size.

First appearance and the team is only as good as the worst player and Junior was not the worst player that night. Give him time, I think he could offer our CM something.

They are all 170cm ish. Junior is about 162cm tall right?
