Aye, some had gone quite a bit away though.Isn't discussing the role Barkley plays in the team and its impact on whether Mata is a desirable transfer or not on topic Grouch?
Was all discussed in the takeover thread just after he bought us.Have you really?
The reply I gave was to another poster pointing out, quite rightly, that IF Mata came in on anything like the wages he's currently on at Utd, then many of our existing players that we DO want to keep will quickly demand pay rises: Lukaku, Del, Barkley, Besic, Coleman, RFM and Stones, for starters. What? Who said anything about that? Is Juan Mata a dozen players? Newcastle are not financially stronger than us, what a ridiculous thing to say. Neither are Southampton evidently, as they couldn't afford to match the wages we are paying our manager
I know two people on that list - both parents of very close friends of mine. They both say that the Sunday Times list is pretty accurate on their respective entries. And that's very conservative, I've seen reports double that. They're not going to know his true wealth
Oooops, just seen this. Sorry for my part in going off-track!I appreciate the Ross-talk is Everton based but stick to Juan Mata in here please lads.
Start a new thread if you wish to discuss Ross' potential role under Ronald.

If they track back a bit why not be a bit crazy with the formation like this? Tho.baines and.seamus would also need to attack.............Lukaku
.........Mata... Barkley
Mirallas............. Deulofeu
Works for me
They have no way of knowing every individuals true worth, they simply don't have the access to properly gauge it other than guess work.I know two people on that list - both parents of very close friends of mine. Interesting, there was a quote where he said he has to play behind the striker. I'll see if I can find it...
EDIT... "“He is playing the position behind the striker and he is more an offensive midfield player than a defensive midfield player"
Amazed that people are debating if he would be a good signing or not.
Amazed that people would play him on the left.
He's a number 10, who would be our best player by a country mile. If anyone moves positions it's the other players, to accommodate him, not the other way round.

Check the Sunday Times rich list, or Forbes: Newcastle's owner is worth much more than Moshiri, as is Southampton's owner. Southampton CHOSE not to match the wages we offered Koeman - make no mistake on that point.
