Confirmed Signing Josh King

Never really rated himself, but as a cheap squad option I don't see the problem.

Hes not gonna win awards, but what he will do is give us an option all across the front, which is what most people have been crying out for after Kean and Walcott left.

Sure he's not the only player available, but we don't have vast options.

If worst came to the worst I'm not even totally against Tosun, but ideally I want him punted 1st January.

15m or so, cheapish wages, whats not to like?

People talking about resale, nobody cares about resale with Allan, he's come in, done a job and who cares what he's worth in 3 years, that's the job I see King doing.
You cannot put Allan in the same paragraph as Josh King
Common sense and the Oxford English Dictionary says so
Allan is a guaranteed starter for 3 years going on previous form
King is a sticky plaster sub who we will be trying to get rid of next summer

As much as I wish to dislike everything about Bournemouth, King has always looked decent to me and stood out more than Wilson and co. Always seems to play well against us, at least. But then I said the same about Bolasie...

Why on earth are we still talking about this lad when we aren't even linked with him ?
Even the Zaha thread had more sense , as at least we were once linked with him.
This all seems rather hypothetical and pointless.

A lot like this post then, right?

:hayee:

Only messing, nothing else to talk about for the next 2 weeks innit.

And a large section of the fan base want all those players gone
Next summer King will be in the same bracket
We need first 11 players .
We have plenty of squad players
None of those mentioned were brought in as backup to the first team, though. They're four of the most expensive and highest-earning players in the club's history.

Obviously, it would be preferable to go out and do what City did with Gabriel Jesus, but as we've seen with Kean, it isn't easy to find someone who is both young enough to accept an understudy role and developed enough to contribute properly.

There are definitely areas of the pitch where new starters are needed, but the front three is functioning about as well as could be expected at the moment.

We simply don’t play enough games to have an understudy of Jesus quality. With cups and Europe I expect Man City play 50% more games than us
