Yes, and I mean it. King has extreme physical skills. But that does not necessarily mean he is better than Richarlison. Most people will not say that Adam Traore is better than Messi, even though he is faster and stronger. There are several aspects to football.

I think you need to break that down into seasons, think it will reflect poorly on King then.

Ancelotti has pull, but I think he would choose to be playing regular footy (not at Bournemouth) than sitting on the bench as a back - up striker just because Ancelotti is our manager. Maybe if he was still a young player it would be different, but as I say he's 29.

He'd get regular footy here mate. And he'd jump at the chance to play for us.

I'm not sure we should go for him but it really wouldn't be an issue in getting him here.

We need cover for DCL, last night showed us that.
Not every player will come to a club knowing that they are not the number one player in their position. Clubs will very often not want players who are prepared to act as understudies as they may lack ambition.

Josh King can play a number of roles both out wide and central. He has Premiership experience and is a good solid player .
I think he could be a useful squad member without costing a fortune. We have to try to build a squad of around twenty outfield players who can contribute when required but not all of them can play every week.

In this window but more likely in the summer I think we could lose Kenny, Bernard, Tosun and Kean , as well as those who contracts run out.
We will then be left with probably no more than fifteen or sixteen outfield players. We need to sign players but we probably won't be able to afford up to five players each costing a large transfer fee.

There's quite clearly a massive gulf in quality between them. And you know that I rate King.

If we could get him in on a two-year deal he could be a versatile option for us.

As I said in the summer, like, I didn't want us to get rid of Kean and bring in King but right now if King could come in and score 5-6 goals for us that'd be a big boost.

However, would that just be a soak up on wages which could be put towards a real quality player - a Bailey or the like?
