Absolutely. Come tomorrow morning, ill be livid we didn't sign a back up striker.

But right now, I'm adamant we don't need need Josh King.

King is a physical monster, and has all the qualities needed to be a top player. But on the other hand, he has never fully realized his potential. This may be due to a relatively long injury history, and perhaps mental factors. If he comes to Everton, as long as he stays injury-free, then he will be a useful supplement to the squad.

He is pr. today 10 times better than the other alternatives we have. Playing with Richarlison, DCL and King will be a nightmare for the opponents considering the physical characteristics of these players.

There'd be some rumblings on a deal if one was in the offing. Looks like we're gonna take what feels like a needless risk.

The squad is good, very good in some areas. It's just one or two injuries up front and we're down to bare bones and it seems a silly risk - but then if the deal isn't there, it isn't there.
