Confirmed Signing Josh King

No, because you think Bolasie is better/as good as King. I mean they're both available, Bolasie for significantly cheaper, and yet King is clearly much more in demand. It would appear not many people share your opinion, but as I said, you're welcome to it.

King is 'first team ready'. If you mean good enough to walk into the team then you're just saying exactly what I said you were, and you said you definitely weren't, which is quite an impressive turnaround in the space of one post. If you think we're signing anyone anytime soon who is better than DCL and Richarlison then you are going to be sorely disappointed. I would be content with bringing in somebody who can come in and give them a rest sometimes, and who can come on as a sub to potentially change games. As I said, all teams buy players to be back ups, the idea that everyone you sign must automatically be better than what you've got is painfully outdated. Look at Liverpool over the last couple of years, none of Jota, Shaqiri, Minamino, that left back who i can't remember the name of etc have been bought to go into the strongest XI, they've been bought to add depth. I'd say they've improved in recent years though.
I don't want Bolasie to stay, it was an off the cuff remark to signify the feelings I have towards buying King, a forward who has hit double figures once. I just don't see what he can offer.

My point about improving the first team is correct, you aren't progress your first eleven buying back ups, that's self explanatory surely. Not sure how that concept is outdated I'll be honest, in fact that's the first I have heard and would be interested in your alternative option to improve the first eleven. You then name 3 players from the RS who don't play(Jota possibly too early) so what has that got to do with my comment about buying better than what you have to improve.

Our luck decrees that not one of our strike force gets an injury, but both at the same time. Just imagine that scenario!
Digne gets a knock but we're not jumping off high rise buildings because we think, only think, that Niels will do a decent job if called upon.
Unfortunately that's not the case if DCL or Richarlison has to miss games. All the good work and feelgood factor will be for nowt if we cannot get a half decent back up.

He's useful for this season and never again but probably wouldn't come here for less than a 3 year deal and would almost certainly be a loss on transfer fees assuming we even can move him. And that's for maybe 15-20 sub appearances and a handful of starts. If Josh King is getting more games than that the season is already a shambles that having him will not fix.

It's a bad idea.
