Haven't we ever finished 6th, 5th, even 4th before? The team we have now is better than 90% of anything else we have ever had. Just remember what the opposition was like in that run of years for Chelsea too, nothing like what it is today.

From Jan to the end of the last season I think we were 3rd in the form table. We haven't got a crap team, we have a manager who can't get the best out of it. We are a couple of players short and someone like Jose maybe able to attract that type of player to propel us into the CL and from there things get easier. It's not like we haven't spent in these years, we have been right up there season after season.

We have spent 86m over 3 windows.

United paid that for Harry Maguire in the Summer.

We are spending more than we ever have, but so are most other teams, Leicester, West Ham, Bournemouth all have spending similar to us over the last few windows, the Premier League is AWASH with money.

Its chicken and the egg, we wont get a Jose till we have something to offer him, trophies to realistically aim for and we wont get something to aim for till we find an under the radar Jose.

He may have been but he hasn't shown any sign of that since and after his 2nd pre-season you expect his ideas to be fully ingrained and starting to flourish. You expect progress not regression and even if it is, you shouldn't go from 3rd top to 3rd bottom.
