He a better choice than hughes or bruce!

The problem with interim managers is if they exceed expectations even just a little then they end up getting the gig, and the big plans the club may have had and needed to really start everything again get shelved
Wasn’t he a disaster at Cardiff? At least those two are experienced gaffers with a level of success.

I’m still of the opinion he’s a top manager but something went wrong in the changing room and the players downed tools... I believe they need to take a long hard look at themselves... whatever happened to professional pride ?? Even at the lowly level I played at I never always agreed with my managers but I would never give a half arsed performance or down tools ... my own pride would never allow that. Jose will move on and be successful elsewhere I’m sure but it will be interesting to see what happens to half of that team under a new manager.
Professional pride seemed to go out of the window when the big money came along, unfortunately the power seems to lie with the players these days which is so wrong on so many levels. the tail is now wagging the dog.

Perfect time to take this job with 3 easy games coming up, like when Giggs took over from Moyes a few years back and had Hull and Norwich at home as his first two games, making Moyes look even more of a tit.

I don’t think United are the massive club that they think they are these days if I’m honest. I don’t think Poch would go there.

He would be silly to go there. Spurs about to move into one of the best stadiums in the world, have the best squad in their history and are flying high in the league. He's got everything to stay for.

Listening to Radio 5 on the way in, and they had a former united board member on.

He wanted Eric Cantona in as the interim boss. That could be some inspired lunacy.

The reaction from the media with major in-depth reporting on the general news , sky sports devoting a whole day to it and the print media and radio media the same . That tells you how a big a club they are to me .

It's a whole different level of reporting around them. Some one at United sneezes and the journalists get out the umbrellas claiming it's the worst storm in living history.

If someone at Everton sneezed, we'd be accused of being snotty ba***ds.

I'm mean seriously, you got to wonder what the hell goes on in the halls of power at Old Trafford. Even a can't be arsed Jose, who all the players hate will still do better than Ole Gunnar.

Sure to start with they will probably whack a few teams with some carefree SAF style attacking football, but then they will come up against a decent team and get beat, the players will treat the rest of the season as a holiday until the new bloke arrives.

Should have just kept Jose on till the end of the season. Less compo and the players don't have to put up with a caretaker.
