And where has this nonsense about Robles getting slaughtered come from??

He isn't good enough. It's as simple as that. He made many mistakes over three years and while I would be happy for him to stay as back up he will never ever be close to being good enough. A decent keeper, that's it.

Pickford has all the attributes to be world class. He made a rash decision today and it cost us. He may not have saved it anyway, as VVD had risen highest and made good contact, and if he'd have stayed on his line there'd have been just as many people saying he should have come off it.

Good corner, good header, some poor marking and a bit of panic from Pickford. S*** happens. It has nothing to do with slating Joel.

Pickford is a quality keeper who’s made a mistake tonight, Robles is a fat dosser who isn’t and never will be good enough for Everton. “Slaughtering” Pickford won’t change that.

This is every game. Part of why I'd love N'Zonzi. Why Keane has to play and get better. Pickford has strengths and weaknesses. We saw that today. He's still terrific.

In terms of average height it’s probably close given that Bolasie, DCL, Schneiderlin and McCarthy are taller than Firmino, Mane, Lallana and Milner.

But where it mattered they towered above us. Van Dijk is taller than Kenny on Jagielka’s shoulders.
