We don’t have or have ever had many, but this fella is absolutely world class. Does not in any way deserve the scrutiny and criticism from the national media.

He’s saved us from relegation a few times and won us so many points on the back of his own performances.

Second behind big Nev as our best ever keeper is not a bad place to be.

I would love for us to win any trophy while he is with us.

He also has a bit of magic about him. He makes saves that shouldn't really be possible and we win games and points because of them. Absolutely elite.

My lad who never seen Big Nev ( who I rate as the best ) asked me....
If Pickford was our keeper in the 80's instead of Big Nev would we still have been so successful ?

Would he have saved Whitesides curler in 85 ?...got me thinking tbh.

You can count the amount of mistakes southall made throughout his whole career on one hand …. maybe on one finger as the only one I can remember is when he threw the ball to Matt Le tissier

Waddle chipping him in the cup wasn't his best moment either. As much as I loved Nev he made mistakes as he'll readily admit as he was a perfectionist at heart

The tide does seem to have massively turned over the last year in terms of how he's spoken about by the media/neutrals, so not as unlikely as it once would have been
