Taking everything into account (longevity, loyalty, consistency of performance, big game moments, profile in the game) he is probably the best player I've seen in an Everton shirt in my lifetime.

My lad who never seen Big Nev ( who I rate as the best ) asked me....
If Pickford was our keeper in the 80's instead of Big Nev would we still have been so successful ?

Would he have saved Whitesides curler in 85 ?...got me thinking tbh.

nev has always been quite harsh on Pickford.
I wonder what his opinion is now. Pickford seems to have matured a lot.
Always thought he was great but he's becoming the perfect keeper now.

He's undoubtedly an Everton legend. My two young daughters who have both started following Everton with more interest in the last 12 months absolutely love him. He's right at the top of his profession. That save was just incredible. I had that sinking nauseous feeling in the stomach when the header was going towards the goal and my hands were half way towards my head. Very very few keepers would have got anywhere near it.

Tbh dont kno at that level but shows how good pickford is that can even have a conversation about it. Has been a massive part of this club staying up the past few seasons. Was goos seeing his leadership last night with the gana / keane stuff trying to get him away. Been really lucky having him here
