Personally dont blame him at all. More brantwaite giving the ball away and the quick pass for me

Needs to pipe down far too much to say for a goalie. Shut up and get in goal, he was half to blame for the villa goal if he stays on or around the six yard box watkins wouldn't slot.

5 yellows is a joke for a keeper as I don't think any have come from him charging out and conceding a penalty.

I get he wants to be vocal to keep himself concentrated in games but picking up yellows for constantly arguing with the ref needs to stop as him being suspended in March/April is the last thing needed.

Wasn't his best bit of goalkeeping that's for sure and he knew it. But it was really poor from Branthwaite as well.

Just a sloppy goal to give away and we don't half give up cheap goals sometimes.

I`m not a member of the Pickford fan club, but I would n`t be putting all the blame on him. We had possession inside the Villa half and gave it away cheaply, ending up chasing our tails to get back. Easy to say not to come out when the forward keeps his cool and slots it pass the keeper. Most of the blame for that goal was the stupid pass by Branners to no one in particular, and the couple of players near him not making themselves available for an easy pass.

I understand the points you are making but a goalkeeper does not stop goals by standing on the 18 yard line at the edge of the penalty area. He is giving space for the forward to run round him. PIckford should have been in the 6 yard box or at most on the penalty spot.

Did you ever see Southall at the edge of the area.
