Makes you wonder why Patterson hadnt been playing before the injury.
The only reason I can find that Patterson never got game time is that Patterson didn't look too good in training. This is where training can con a manager like Kenny is at home and comfortable with the training set up as he knows everyone whereas Patterson is a newbie and probably a bit wary initially. Iwobi apparently has always killed it in training. Different mentalities on the training pitch and on matchday. Some can be great trainers and bottle it on the pitch and the same basically applies the other way. Lampards come in and taken training as his selection criteria. This is were Ferguson should stand up and be counted as he should have given him the lowdown on the mentality of all of these players

Maybe Ferguson has given his opinion and has been ignored. I don't see him included much these days.

He is without a shadow of a doubt one of the worst professional footballers I’ve ever seen. There are honestly League 1 teams that he wouldn’t get a game for. I’m stunned that he plays Premier League football for us, I think he’s worse than Cuco Martina.
Changed that slightly for you ?!

Makes sense that, although Dunc did pick Kenny at RB for that game he had in charge vs Villa, so he must see something in him. I doubt Dunc would discourage Frank from selecting him. I also think that having seen his performances over the last few games, if Frank had other options available to him, then he would bench Kenny. Our back 4 picks its self at the moment because there's nobody else there to pick.

Panics when ever he has the ball, just wants rid of it as soon as possible. Saw this against Wolves when they had that free kick and it came to right to him on the she of the box. All he had to do was run forward and we were two on two. Instead just boots it up the pitch to nobody.

And then that shot vs Burnley. Just wanted away with the ball as soon as possible so just decided to whack to towards their goal. Total liability.

I know (friend of a friend) someone who played for Everton under moyes. He always says moyes’s selection was primarily based on how well you could listen to and follow instructions. There was a plan for every game, and he had to know that you could execute your part of the plan, or the whole thing would fall apart. I wouldn’t be surprised if the same applies here, and kenny was deemed to be more trustworthy than Patterson in that sense.
