Absolutely hopeless. Can't defend, rubbish going forward. No wonder they sent him back from the SPL without even trying to negotiate a permanent deal. Probably could have had him for about half a million! Then in typical Everton style, he returns to us and ends up back in the first team due to inevitable injuries.

Definitely going backwards,
his positional play is very poor, looks a shadow of the promising young player he was years ago.
Sadly nowhere near the level required at Everton.

11 months to go of a 5-year deal.

Lets say he takes home £20k a week.

£20k x 52 = £1.04m x 5 = £5.2m in his contract. Add on all the other bonuses, he's probably pushing close to £6-7m off us.

If i ever have to see this lad on the field again it will be too soon. Would not get in any premier league team except Everton and it is debatable if he is even good enough to play in the championship. Offers absolute zero and every time he gets the ball even if its a throw in he has no interest in looking forwards, it is get rid of it backwards every time. Don't care how short we are at right back, he needs binning altogether and i would literally let anyone play instead of him.

Unsworth is currently negotiating a new 5 year contract with him for the U23 squad... to fill his over 30 quota.

He has already has 50 appearances for the club, which is mad that there was still some shouts that he should be playing games and given a chance.
He's had multiple chances and proven he's not good enough.

His style of defending seems to be let as many crosses in as possible.

Wow that's sickening, he has literally won the lottery. His style of defending is to not defend. His positioning is the worst I've seen.
