Tis a nice word. Someone has to be blamed though. My dog takes most of it so I'll point it at someone else.

But like I say though, I'm admitting defeat over the team competing this year. I wanna be proved wrong mind so I dont look too much like a tit, but if it doesnt happen then I wont be bitter about it. To be fair I only want to qualify for Europe again.

I was really worried that we'd be dumped out. Couldn't have handled that this year again. I love the Eurosoccer nights.

Ken, your summary was spot on. No matter how much money we get this has buggared us good and proper. There is no way I can see a positive slant on this debacle.

We now have to look for 2 CBs, RB, RW, CM, LB. IMO.

2 CBs, RB, RW, CM, they're the key ones IMO. Im not too fussed on a left back if Im being honest, I think Neville could go back there for cover, so I think a loan at LB could be okay.

We could also look at central defender, who can play left back, as Lescott did. It's not like he's the only one who could do it, for example I am still angry that we didn't try/we couldn't get Bassong, who is very Lescott-esque, including his ability to play as left back.

I don't like Distin, since he's relying mostly of his pace and it will be gone soon. And we already has this danger with Yobo...
Also, you don't need to be left footed to play succesfully as a back up left back - Gallas proved it many times in the past.

the best prem option imo to replace lescott is blackburns gael givet.(trust me ive searched for ages)
27 , can play cb and lb.


another option perhaps (other than distin ) that may be ok for a back up is aston villa's wilfred bouma. but hes not brilliant and 31.

Steinsson from Bolton is a good player. I think he can play RB & CB which is exactly what we need. He's quick, strong & psychotic, a natural defender.
