Not for me if you take in the bigger picture. He doesn't run the finances that effectively hamstring him each and every window. Admittedly, he should have people lined up if he is releasing players, but who knows what he's told by the CEO of the club on that score? The public announcements from Elstione were that he was to be backed in bringing a quick solution to Everton's transfer dealings this summer. Maybe Moyes took that and shed a few players quickly to get them off the wages bill and make room for incoming?

One thing Moyes never helps himself with, however, is his contradictory comments. Look at what he's said today: 'If City had come in with a proper offer in June he could have gone to them then'.....after telling us all last week how outraged he was at City tapping the player up! I'm afraid Moyes has been damaged badly by this Lescott affair. Who could possibly take him seriously again after all the 'categorical' statements he's made in the past few months?

To be fair he can chat [Poor language removed]. But name me another manager that doesnt? Apart from Roy Hodgson?

Im guessing, without all that text that you'd linked it back to the club and not the player asking for a transfer on the eve of the new season, trying to cop out of the first game and then subsequently being dropped due to a poor attitude?

Eh? I was saying (two posts ago) that the OS were seemingly inferring the departure of 4 players with none coming in was Moyes being to blame. Nothing to do with Lescott. (y)

im much more black and white in tis affair and the fact that it has been allowed to carry on like this is ver y bad vision by efc ...

ok here it is they get a bid they turn it down and then defend themselves sayin hes not goin ( even if it means he doesnt play ) all of which is cool stand up to the big boys....but the player submitted a transfer himself there and then the deal should have been taken

i often wonder if people within the club are really professional or people just winging it in a good job

I really missed that bit that inferred Moyes was to blame mate.
I still dont see it like.

You're right. I am paranoid. I'm reading into situations stuff that isn't there. I hear there's a lot of it about.

<*coughs* clubs' need for *coughs* work permit *splutter*>

Point out to me, you superb but monstrous poster, where that OS article blamed Moyes.

How do you prove something you believe is being inferred?

Anyway....

"If the deal goes through, Lescott will follow Lars Jacobsen, Nuno Valente and Segundo Castillo in leaving Goodison Park this summer and Moyes knows the August 31 transfer deadline is rapidly approaching."

He got rid of them and he's running out of time. You cant blame anyone for drawing that inferrence.

The OS are there to make the owners look good not the manager of the club. I thought we all knew this?

Three players who barely touched the team was allowed to leave and the Manager is aware time is limited.

Lets put that one to the audience, is it just me that reads it that way?

Exactly.

We all know Dave is a master of spinning everything to make it look bad on the board.

Fair enough a lot of the time its justified but others it ain't.

And this time it isn't.
