Player Valuation: £60m
We're not even likely to sign anyone at this rate. Not much point giving suggestions on who could do a job for us.
Steinsson from Bolton is a good player. I think he can play RB & CB which is exactly what we need. He's quick, strong & psychotic, a natural defender.
Unsy is left footed but i,d draw the line at ablettGet David Weir back.

match fit (ish) and without a club!Unsy is left footed but i,d draw the line at ablett
Bouma is yet to come back from very serious injury, even if he will be back, I don't see him playing as LB anymore...the best prem option imo to replace lescott is blackburns gael givet.(trust me ive searched for ages)
27 , can play cb and lb.
another option perhaps (other than distin ) that may be ok for a back up is aston villa's wilfred bouma. but hes not brilliant and 31.

PMSL at the OS comment:
"If the deal goes through, Lescott will follow Lars Jacobsen, Nuno Valente and Segundo Castillo in leaving Goodison Park this summer and Moyes knows the August 31 transfer deadline is rapidly approaching."
As if he's to blame.
I think he is to blame.
Not for me if you take in the bigger picture. He doesn't run the finances that effectively hamstring him each and every window. Admittedly, he should have people lined up if he is releasing players, but who knows what he's told by the CEO of the club on that score? The public announcements from Elstione were that he was to be backed in bringing a quick solution to Everton's transfer dealings this summer. Maybe Moyes took that and shed a few players quickly to get them off the wages bill and make room for incoming?
One thing Moyes never helps himself with, however, is his contradictory comments. Look at what he's said today: 'If City had come in with a proper offer in June he could have gone to them then'.....after telling us all last week how outraged he was at City tapping the player up! I'm afraid Moyes has been damaged badly by this Lescott affair. Who could possibly take him seriously again after all the 'categorical' statements he's made in the past few months?
