I'm in your camp Bill. What i've seen recently our midfield is absolutely sick. There I said it. Can't string three passes together and can't hold possession long to keep the pressure off our defense. We could do a lot worse than pickup Petrov who would add some needed flair for us. I have noticed when Arteta is absent we have very little direction and no imagination to tease opposing defenses. The jig will be up if we can't find another playmaker very soon.

Personally if Citeh are offering Ben Haim and Dunne + 20m we should take it, Not would we get the CB we need till Jags is fit it would also give 1 as cover. Then with the 20m go and get Hutton and Bentley from Spurs. We could have some money left over and not spent any of our budget, thus keeping the debt down

Ben Haim's not good either. He had one good game for his country against England and Chelsea snapped him up for cheap. He never played for 2 seasons or something.

Went to Citeh....never really played either.

So he's gonna come to Everton and start? I thought we were better than that.

16.33 Everton boss David Moyes insists he still does not want to sell Manchester City target Joleon Lescott despite dropping the unsettled defender from his squad for Thursday's Europa League tie against Sigma Olomouc.

Personally I feel Moyes has done right in all this. Perhaps if we had Jags fit, or he had managed to get another decent CB then he coulda let Joleon go, but as it is we can ill afford it atm. If his attitude is bad at the moment, due to the Arsenal game or Man City's interest then dropping him for one game is better than if we had sold him and didn't have him for any games, and no replacement either. Hopefully he'll sort himself out in time for our next game. It seems from the quotes from the rest of the squad that he'd handled it well enough up until saturday. Hopefully the last few days is just a blip.
