He's stated a fact though mate. I'm not saying he's not a prick, he is. However, on the same token he hasn't really got a squad in city that are winners, yet. However, he's clearly talking about the likes of Silva (WC winner), Toure from Barca, Mancini with Inter.

Silva, Toure and Mancini wasn't there when he made the move mate.

He made the move for money and acted like a complete prick, him now trying to belittle a club which has won much more than his present club is [Poor language removed]. He went for the money, he shouldn't pretend it was anything otherwise.

Are you defending him because he plays for England?

Comes across as someone who went from a team that didnt win anything to a team that have won things.....

Which clearly isnt Citeh who's current team havent been to ANY finals.

Bellend thing to say.

Safe to say that will more money than most they weren't going to be signing players like Beckford, and I'm not defending him because he's English you massive bore, I'm defending him because he made a statement that we can't argue with.

Neville has won more trophy's than their entire team has ever won and will ever win.

FACT.

So he's talking out his arse.

but if phil neville was to sign for City (feel free if your reading phil), he would be the worst player in their squad.

phil neville won alot of his medals of the bench, fact.

Mods: a personal insult there.

As I detailed above mate, he said the comments being a tit and nothing more. He moved for the money, as we had the better team/squad. Him now pretending otherwise is just a bit conceited, it's hardly been a good move for him, apart from the money.

True.

Lescott has said something that is bloody obvious. With that kind of money City are going to sign players who have won trophies, they have the money. The fact they hadn't when he was signed doesn't mean they weren't going to.

He has moved for the money that is not in dispute, but he is moving to a side that will win more trophies than us, not all footballers are uber loyal, they want to better themselves, otherwise Cahill would have stayed at Millwall.

If you got offered 4 or 5 times more money to work somewhere else, in plusher surroundings, with better skilled work colleagues, more potential for rewards and so on. Would you?

I can see why you don't like him, I don't. But I can understand why he's gone.

“I don’t want to disrespect anyone at Everton – they have a great squad, but they were probably just a bit short of experience in winning trophies." - Sunday People

He's talking last season when they didnt have the players you mentioned. Yaya, Silva etc.

So, yeah, you can argue it. He's saying he left because he saw Bellamy, Adebayor, Bridge, Santa Cruz, Toure, all with 90k in their pocket, and Mark Hughes who's taken all the clubs he's managed to every final on the earth, as players with more experience in winning trophies than Everton - after experiencing a chance to win a trophy in a FA Cup final

Well we don't know what he was promised do we? But fairly safe to assume that an owner with too much money is going to yield more quality than an owner with no money.

I voted no way - we must keep him at the club. He's way to good a defender to give to City. They'll be sooooo good with him. And who could we get with £18-£20 million?
