No I don't know exactly why. You're on some sort of crusade sgainst him because you feel he owes you something. He doesn't. He's been one of our better players since the day he joined us. He has never given anything less than 100%, even today. We'll be happy if he stays. We'll be worse off if he leaves. Have a think about that.

Been asleep for the last few weeks then have you?

Never given less than 100%???? He gave 5% and a whole load of arrogance today (y)

No we wont be worse off. We'll have got rid of a player who doesn't want to play for us (IN CASE YOU'D FORGOT THAT!?).

Yeah and when we take Defour from Liege, that'll be fair game. [Poor language removed] like this happens. That's the game. Hate the game, not the player.

I wonder what the Wolves fans said about him when he signed for us, and what Azzbot thought about the Wolves fans?

I wonder what the Wolves fans said about him when he signed for us, and what Azzbot thought about the Wolves fans?

Did he hand a transfer request in a week before the beginning of the season?

Did he say he say himself he doesn't want to play for Wolves any more?

Did he sign a 5 year contract a year before he all of a sudden had a change of heart?

Did he show no respect to the Wolves fans in a pre season game that most of the fans that where there clapped and cheered him?

I'm sure the Wolves fans didn't really feel that bad about him to be honest.

I didn't think lescott looked interested, annoyed at the goals conceded, but body language was a real worry. Providing we can get some cover in, I think sell. Midfield lacked creativity today, Cahill and Neville in central mid is not the answer, osman no impact again. Jo ineffectual. We need some creativity in midfield. And this notion of high balls to fellaini and Jo, so predictable. Elm, Banega, vander vaart, anyone...please!

You have two choices: get a good whack at your current job or get a shitload of money and a chance to win some trophies at another place. I bet 99% of you guys would bugger of to the other company without batting an eyelid.

Lescott knows it's unlikely he will win any major honours at Everton or that he will play Champion's League football here. At City it is far more likely. He just turned 27 which means it is not completely impossible that he will never get another chance like this. There are so many things that could go wrong with him and he might well end his career with his trophy cabinet empty.

Would be loath to sell him to City after Just for Mens comments here i
cant wait to tonk them:

"I have said before when a deal has run its course we would be prepared to walk away," said Hughes.

"At this moment in time, we are still to arrive at that position. Our interest is not finished yet.

"The headlines were quite predictable. I am not surprised David feels a bit aggrieved with the situation, you always are when a big club comes along trying to acquire one of your better players.

"You never want them to leave, but we feel we are doing things the right way and through the proper channels."

Moyes was unhappy that Hughes had not spoken to him directly, but the City boss feels it would have been a pointless conversation.

He added: "I could pick up the phone and ring David very easily. I would ask him whether I could have his player, he would say no and I would have to put the telephone down. What would be the point of that?

"The thing is we haven't put this into the public domain. Everton did that on their website."
