Penderyn madeira cask, Ardbeg 10yr old followed by Smokehead.
Accompanied by Nick Drake - perfect mellow whisky music.
Word to the wise - concentrate. Dont accidentally inhale Smokehead under any circumstances.
I've got a bit of that left in a bottle. All of Islays exports are in my top 10.Good man...give Kilchoman's 'Loch Gorm' a try.

I thought I know a lot of whisky, but I've never heard of that one (its lovely to research though). Irish? On a tour of the main three Irish distilleries in the mid 90s, visiting me ma's birthplace en route, I tried a few. The triple distillation though, tends to make them a little smooth for my palate generally. I like a Scots that ruffles the back of my throat too, from only being double distilled ... but, like most things the US cheapskate, oversold, lazily, low quality single distilled whiskies can clear my drains. Also try a Longrow gold label...I've got two unopened bottles sitting here on a rack to my left, staring at me. Peaty Campbeltown goodness that gives Islay a good run for its money but I can't touch these days, so I have to live vicariously through y'all.

Oh I'll just have to go and educate myself some more! Thanks for the suggestion.Nah, Scottish...Like Kilkerran, (who has a 'heavily peated' version worth a gander; Longrow's a more refined dram IMHO) it's an offshoot of Springbank distillery.
Springbank/Campbeltown has been on a high within' scotch circles for a good while now because of their old school production methods and they have low production numbers so finding them can be spotty (especially here in the states) but Longrow and Kilkerran seem to be easier to come by.
Lovely.
