Started well but once city got into a rhythm he struggled, not due to the knock either. Lovely to watch but he's had 2 full seasons where he drops the shoulder too often and leaves his feet early. Needs to keep it simple and work on reading the game instead.

Got lucky when he over ran it to sterling, thankfully wee raheem is utter gash.

Made some good breaks forward, was better at competiting in the air aswell

He's a naive defender. Every game that passes convinces me more and more he should be playing higher up the pitch than a place in the back four. Eventually he'll cost us in a huge game.
He naturally started drifting into a cm position as the game wore on. Not sure we have the room to accommodate him there long term with besic showing so much and mcC coming back soon with barry having an excellent season and ross playing well but he could definitely be a top defensive minded cm imo.

I thought his selection was a good idea as he is good on the ball, quick and adds height.

But he was lost a bit in the second half and as for that tackle.. Even a Sunday leaguer would not slide tackle in the box
against the opponents' biggest diver in the last minute or so. He did it against Stoke but we got lucky last night. Heart in the gob moment.

Makes up for the Milner dive at City last season.

Tonight's was a much more clear cut penalty than the one against Stoke.

We got away with one.

Near blooming time.....bad penalty calls have been our undoing at City in each of the last two seasons.

Overall a good performance in a position he hasn't played for about 18 months against arguably the best attack in the league. Obviously his decision to lunge into slide tackles in injury time is a big risk, and I think he needs better judgement in those situations, but he's still a massive talent. His concentration and reading of the game can only improve.

Hes really become to recless at times. Great defender , ball playing defender . I m not remembering Stones make so much unsafe things before like in last few games. And that smile at the end of the game , City fans must be mad of rage. Still one of best defenders in Europe right now.
