Joel Robles

You're the one that brought up Howard and started defending him. Unbelievable.
Honestly, I didn't bring up Howard. I corrected someone else's wrong assertion about how Robles is doing it all with the same defense that Howard had. That was wrong, and I pointed it out. If people don't want to be corrected, they shouldn't post patently false information.

Honestly, I'm just happy that we've finally hit upon a defensive combination that's working. I'm a little worried about what'll happen if we have to give anyone a rest at some point -- like when we have to make up the postponed matches against Sunderland and the RS. We'll see if Robles is the real deal then.

Looking really good so far under difficult circumstances. Hopefully he keeps it up in the second half. Keeping a clean sheet today would be huge.

The save Joel made 1st half was quite a save out of this world lol, expected that to be a certain goal, when you see the shot from yards out with the pace it has from the cross.

does any one else think that as a goalie in last minute when the ball is at the feet on an attacker in the 6 yard box when he is about to shoot you instinctively dive at the man and ball to smother the shot.
What he did was just stand there with his legs open in no mans land. That was really poor in my opinion and something you do not often see in the premier league.

Yes....me.

In all the fume over Mirallas's idiocy, Martinez's mad substitution and Rom's missed penalty, Joel seems to have got off scot free.

Personally, I think he should have saved that third goal and he could have done better with the other two.

:(

he isnt and never will be a top draw goalkeeper imo, i like him and he's a good number 2...but we need spend big on a goalkeeper in the summer

I suppose when he saved the pen a few games ago that was bad keeping too?
When your defence is stood on your six yard line they should deal with crosses, defending too deep, and going down to ten men early on and rubbish substitutions- yes just blame Joel Robles- pathetic poster!

You would have blamed Howard if it was him in goal.

I agree with Neil, we need to spend big and get a new keeper. Keep Robles as back up.
