I'm shocked tbh that the likes of Kirkbride and O'Keefe from the Red Echo are firmly laying the blame on his door. I'm not too sure what they thought he could do any different because it's too far out on angle to go and claim and like you said it was a freak Kind of header the way it looped right into the corner.

Man on the post and it's cleared. Now I'm not too sure if that falls down to Robles or that's team tactics or in game management but that was the most disappointing aspect, certainly nothing to do with Robles' positioning

I'm shocked that Kirkbride has joined in with Greg yes. But like you said that's exactly how it sounds doesn't it.

His misjudged it, but firstly, they shouldnt be flicking it on at the near post and there should be a man on the back stick. Those two things alone are to be blamed for Joel.

Plus, so what. He's made his first mistake in god knows how long, Howard was making multiple errors every game. Forza Joel.

It never even crossed my mind that the keeper was in any way at fault. having seen it on TV my view was confirmed. Ridiculous to criticise him.

Personally I don't blame for Joel for the mistake yesterday, although I can understand why to an extent people may attribute some blame.

Maybe he should have had a make on the post, however the overt criticisms from some aspects of the press are just plain ridiculous.

It certainly wasn't a clanger nor was it completely his fault. If the first man hadn't allowed the flick on, it wouldn't have been an issue at all.

One minor mistake or misjudgement in how many games is more than acceptable and I'm sure he'll learn from it and correct it in future games.

I'm certainly more confident with him than Tim!
