2 shots on goal. I mean even Howard at his worst would have only given up 2 in that situtation.

Joel did well though. Deserves a start against a real side (shouldn't have said that. we are so going to lose Saturday now)
 

Howard looked in a day dream most of the time on the bench. Id play him against dagenham then take him off after 5 mins for the third choice goalie

It's about more than just the shot stopping though. He claims it better, his distribution is superior and the defenders looked less hesitant to pass to him.

He's also utterly huge whereas Howard is the shortest 6'3 I've ever seen. I think keepers who fill the goal instead of ones who crouch down and fall on their arse are the way to go, basically.
 
Did well, didn't come off his line a couple of times that he could of though and conceded one.
Howard would of been massacred today from most on here.
 
I'd honestly would feel for the lad of he's not 1st choice next season...or at least given half a season to prove himself.

He'd be fine starting for club in a defensive setup, we are not that side. Probably need to invest in someone who would be at least a top 4-5 keeper in the prem.
