A while back i think i was mentioning Howard and Distin EVERY game and labelling them a 'tag team that were determined to ruin us', notice how since they've been replaced with Stones and Joel that we look so much better defensively.

Tell us who you're going to replace him with, for how much, and how many more points he will earn us. At the same time, can you tell us the new goilie's percentage rate for avoidable errors, so we can compare with Joel.

Some people just don't like him and don't want to change their opinion, which is a shame because he's been playing well this past month.

Never quite understand why people have a problem saying they might have misjudged a player.

Ferguson, one of the best football managers ever, brought Anderson for 20m whilst letting Pogba go on a free. Everyone gets things wrong.

Some people are just too pig headed to admit they were wrong mate.

Personally I've never been wrong about a player like.

People's opinions in the mainstay are changing, which is based on his performances and rightly so. I am happy to admit he's surprised me.

Unfortunately, some are still entrenched in their view and cannot see the good performances and progress that he's made.

Nevertheless, I think it is still fair to harbour some concerns of some degree: at least regarding to his long term capability of our number one.

He's shown that he's capable in the short term, but I am not yet entirely convinced in the long term. That can only come with time and more games.

Although if he keeps playing as he has, then I am happy to admit that I was originally wrong.

Look and that is fair enough. He had a fairly poor start to life with us, but for me he has the tools to be a very good keeper.
Can't say I thought he did too much wrong for the goal line clearance, made himself big and imposing and 9/10 wouldn't have been beaten from that angle with what he did, lovely little flick from Gayle to get it over and past him.
His handling error when he lost control of the cross which led to that block by Stones was more concerning, but really that was the only issue I had with him all game. Looks to be gaining confidence and improving.

I don't need to to suggest a replacement it's meaningless, I would suggest the fact that Martinez has spoken about bringing in a keeper implies he's not convinced seeing as he gave Howard a 4 year extension a few months back.

He's been playing games for the under 21s for 18 months it's not as if he's been dropped in after just training all week.

I doubt Ferguson scouted a footballer for the last 15-20 years, he didn't even take training for the last 10.

He also let Pogba go because of attitude problems when a was demanding playing time over Scholes and Giggs.

I've no problem saying I misjudged an incoming player, it's a bonus and wouldn't bother me at all. But top keepers are playing first team football at his age and not waiting to be thrown in because of an injury.
