Joel Robles

Meh. All young keepers make mistakes, especially when they're not playing regularly. It's going to take the lad a while (and some games) to find his confidence and perform to his best. Tim's going to be around for a few years yet, so he has plenty of time to find his feet. Still think he'll be superb in the long run.

the only problem I see is he doesn't release the ball fast enough to launch a decent counter attack.

he is doing what howard used to do - hold onto the ball for ages and then hoof it up field and surrender possession. This is the biggest reason why Robles should not start.

His feet were off the floor. Had he stood still, then would more than likely have stopped it comfortably.

Not going to have a moan as I have hardly seen him play.

wow some harsh comments about Robles. As far as I can see he is competent enough and makes me feel more at ease than Mucha. He should have done better I agree but name a keeper who hasn't conceded a goal knowing he should have done better.

Not gonna dwell on the goal too much - it happens. There is no substitute for experience at this level. Rediculous to expect him to be the finished article or not make any mistakes at this stage, just that as a GK your mistakes are usually more open to scrutiny. If he gets a run in the side then I'm sure we'll see him progress.

Could definitely come in and do a job for us, I feel. Beyond that, and if he is the long term successor to TH, I don't think Martinez or anyone can know.

This for me is the biggest reason, virtually every time he sent the ball long,it came straight back.

He made a good save in the first half, was flagged offside though. He also managed to catch a ball off a cross and not punch it like many a goalkeeper; the save he made against Sunderland after fumbling the initial shot was quite good. For a big fella he seems to get down quick but he doesn't seem to have the ability, or confidence yet, to act like a sweeper the way Howard has been doing this year.

In all honesty he hasn't had that much to do but he should have done better with that goal. The ball may have moved but its no excuse for it to go inbetween your hands; i think he'll turn out to be quite a good purchase in a couple of years, just fine tune his game abit

It was a fairly terrible goal to give up. Having said that, he's young and that's why he isn't the number 1. He caught a few balls nicely.

Absolutely shocking goal to concede and nearly dropped one at Lambert's feet.

He makes me quite nervous tbh. Hope he improves.
