It's time...

What is it with this thread and people comparing Hart with Niasse? Absolutely no correlation at all. Hart has won titles in the league we compete in, he's played in the champions league, he's clearly worthy of our squad.

PG wants a ball playing goalkeeper like Neuer, someone who can pass long and short and build play from the back. Clearly, he doesn't think that is Joe Hart. Fine. Unless we're hiring PG as manager any time soon, it's not a problem we will have with Joe Hart, in the same way Mancini and Pellegrini haven't had that problem with him.

How on earth is that a "fundamental truth"?

Stek has had a few good performances and seems a shrewd signing. Joel had a good run in towards the end of last season. However, if there is any fundamental truth here, its that Joe Hart has been performing at a far superior level to both of these guys for several years.

Let me make it abundantly clear for one final time.................and this is my opinion and I frankly couldn't give one for what you think

1 Hart is not worth £30mil

2 A failed player could hardly be raise our profile...............that is an asinine proposal and an insult to all the players we have and to all our supporters

3 Its reported, yes your favourite source of information, this morning that Citeh want £7 mil for one seasons loan, not surprising really as we've taken them for millions over recent years , Lescott, Rodwell and now Stones. If anyone thinks he worth that type of money, say £200k a game needs locking up.

4 If he is signed the press and reds will have a field day as soon as he cocks up, and he will.

If you don't like what I've said in this or other postings hard luck because that is my opinion, your own opinion is irrelevant as far as I'm concerned I want us to spend money where its needed and Hart isn't needed.

That Monty is exactly what I said on an earlier post but was told RK wanted 3 keepers! Still not keen on Hart, think they are asking to much even for a loan.

For this to happen both City & Hart will have to seriously adjust their expectations nearer to the deadline. City want a fee for Hart on loan and for us to cover his wages making the cost of a one-year rental around £15m.

Alternatively we can push at a permanent deal. Hypothetically, would you rather have Begovic for £12m & say £75k per week or Hart for £30m & >£150k per week (he wants >£200k reportedly!)? Or just stay with Stek & Robles? That is the nature of the choice being faced.

1. Harts worth whatever a team is willing to pay, could argue no player is worth anything like the fees around, is Pogba worth 100m?

2. using that analogy, Arsenal made a mistake signing Sanchez (a failed Barca player, and Ozil a failed Madrid player - as both of them got shifted on because they weren\t wanted anymore) and James Rodrigues if he leaves Madrid will not raise a teams profile- imagine the fume if we signed such a failiure, hope the fans and players could get over the insult like...

3. Read the report properly, 7m is basically us covering his 135k pw current set of wages and would involve no actual fee to loan him

4. Who gives a flying one what the press or reds think, should we base out transfer strategy entirely on fear of a rs saying something (btw the media and the rs are one and the same more often than not) - should we sell Lukaku as well btw, cos if he misses a few chances he may get criticised and we don't want that do we?

This is MY opionion as well, btw what happens though should Steks form go off the cliff, or should he as in previous seasons pick up an injury that sees Robles starting - still don't think it's a posiition then that we will regret not strengthening?

Do they, show me one thing that says that they want a fee and wages covered?

all reports are saying 7m intotal - which is basically his wages paid mate

You think City are asking for a 7m fee your utterly mental

Joe Hart is a failed player. Premier League wins, FA Cup wins and spending at least 5 years as England starter just stinks of failure. My goodness we're losing the plot here

Its no surprise. I said this weeks ago.

He is too expensive whether it's a loan or buy. And as pointed out by others, there are equally as good keepers floating about for less.

The feller is stuck in a tough situation unless someone is willing to make him the 2nd most expensive keeper in the world.

I have the fact that they want a fee & his wages covered directly from one of the journalists who was briefed. The article wasn't very well written.
