So we do have no intentions of increasing our wage bill to help with STCC next season.

If we did then paying Hart a high wage for a season would have been a godsend. It's looking very likely we are as broke as we always have been. I suspect we are holding on for Kone and he's what the remainder of the TV money will be spent on and that will be our window.

We might be waiting for Krul, we might be waiting for Chelsea to replace Begovic, we might be seeing if Stekelenberg is up to it.

Could be a lot of reasons that don't involve Hart.

Just because we have money now doesn't mean we shouldn't do sensible business..

As much as I want Hart and think paying 25-30 million to secure him permanently considering he would put our goalkeeper issues to bed for 5+ years. 7 mil loan fee + 5 million wages is getting ripped of for someone they don't want for one year.

If he plays well likelihood is he will go somewhere else in search of UCL football, if he doesn't perform we wont want him anyway.. Either way there's a high chance we would be looking for a number one again in a years time..

Steks early performances have allowed us to take our time a bit more getting the right man in between the posts.
