I'm just not sure pep wants rid just because hart isn't that great as a sweeper. Southall and schmeichel weren't the best either and there's no way any manager would drop them at their peak.

He's probably better than Robles like but I'm on the fence tbh. Loan would be the best option for me.

Can see him moving pretty sharpish if he's left on the bench to rot again tomorrow lunchtime.

Possibly Sunday / Monday.

Whether it's us, I'm not so sure - there will be interest from abroad & home.

Think it all depends on Barca, Manx!

They won't sell one of their keepers until they have a replacement in/secured. Looks like they've agreed a fee for Cillisen though so they may well be willing to sell after the weekend.

City, similarly, won't risk letting Hart go (imo) until they've got a replacement in.

So, in the event that we are in for him (as you said no guarantee we will get him) then we're just waiting on the domino effect to take place.

That's not a bad thing however, and we've given ourselves some breathing space by bringing in Stek.

Would have him here no sweat, a very good keeper, but part of me is wodnering if that Stekelenberg first game is a sign we should stick with him - i know i know - it's more likely just one of those cracking games any keeper can have at times, but feel a huge degree more confident after seeing him play a leauge game than i did a couple of weeks back shoudl we not get another keeper in

This could explain why we haven't brought a keeper in, hart been number 1 from the start but had to wait for city to find a replacement and also convince hart to take a step down.

He will have a winner mentality
He English always good to have a British spine in the team
Will have a point to prove
He changed catches crosses
He one of the best premiership keepers
He only behind the chelsea and man u keepers

I'm happy if we've got a manager who wants to have two great keepers on our books.
