The democrats have made a real bad choice here , biden is 78 and barely coherent trump and his gang will rip him to pieces when the the autumn comes , the only chance is the dems fight back against trump and his right wing loony tea party brigade , some GOP detest Trump more than the democrats

I cannot believe that as self-destructive as Trump has been and how ripe the presidency is for the picking, Biden is the candidate that the democratic party is rolling out.
[Standard disclaimer: Wouldn't be my first choice as President, I wanted Warren etc etc]

You mean the guy who has consistently (like, since Trump was elected, through to today) polled better than anyone else in the Party when put head to head with Trump?

Yeah me neither.

Like BB said, not who I'd have chosen
But if you look at all the candidates in the primary, he's the one most likely to turn out disenfranchised moderates and independents. They are the voters who gave the dems such an overwhelming victory in 2018.
He has a better chance of taking Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Florida, and maybe even Texas than any of the other candidates.
He could also do well in Ohio, Georgia, NC, and Minnesota.
He just needs to keep his head down, make a decent VP pick, weather any VP baggage grief, make a few good speeches here and there and he should be ok.
It's not the time for leadership that's inspirational to some and alienating to others.
It's time for a few years of 'meh'.
A president doesn't have to be front and center all day every day.

He's up against evil Rupert Murdoch too. Many have fallen in the past.
