IRRELEVANT ANECDOTE: I was once in a historiography seminar where a debate broke out between a couple of participants over whether Texas should be considered "southern" or "western." They went back and forth for a while before thinking to ask the opinion of the guy at the table who was actually from Texas, "Is Texas in the South or is it in the West?" He responded, "Texas is in Texas." Fair enough.

This is truth.

The state is humongous (it's larger than France). From Beaumont in the SE corner of the state to El Paso in the far West is farther than from El Paso to the Pacific Ocean. Head the other way and it is farther across Texas than from Beaumont to the Atlantic Ocean. It's roughly the same distance from the tip of the Panhandle in the north to the southernmost point of the state (Brownsville).

Houston (the most ethnically diverse city in the country), Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and El Paso are all left-leaning. Deep East Texas (piney woodlands) and most of rural, oil patch West Texas (practically desert) are heavily "conservative".

A marketing slogan used for years to promote tourism said it well, "Texas: It's a Whole Other Country."

I never said you vote messes up this state. What you support at the federal level affects the whole country including this state.

Instead of pretending you know what issue there are here go ahead and read back through the thousands of pages here or better yet Google it. Google trumps obstructions and diminishing talk towards California and its residents

As for the rest its just nonsense.

actually, before we get in to a whole thing, you might genuinely like her.
Yes, she's progressive but not AOC progressive.
She's tough, she fought hard to make it as a black city councilor and then as a congresswoman.
She has alopecia (sp?) She always wore a wig but when she hit the national stage, she owned it and shaved her head.
She has a good rep for being able to bring all sorts of disparate groups together.
Yes, she's a new congresswoman who hates Trump and got lumped right in with the other three but have a look, you might agree with her on a lot. (or maybe not)

I like Pressley's recent embrace of her alopecia. She's got a nicely shaped skull.

But I can't imagine she'd get a veep nod. She hasn't even finished her first term in Congress yet.

maybe not but she has pretty solid experience from Boston city council to add to her limited congressional experience. I dunno, I think it might be enough for a VP roll.
Mayor Pete got far enough in the primary process with far less experience.
