She was deffo someone that would win local government as you don't have to say too much but how they didn't vet properly her before putting faith in a low intellect sound bite machine as a VP is astounding.

I think they know that to be fare to them cause whenever a poll favours Trump in here it gets torn to shreds and discredited.

Not to get off topic ( but here I go anyway)...Palin was when McCain lost me - total pandering to the religious nut wing of the GOP. Gave up a lot of his principles with that choice. Prior to that he was a republican I could deal with.

Yea, it seemed like he didn't have much say in the choice which is probably not what you want in a POTUS anyway.

Anyway Biden’s going to win pretty easily I think. There aren’t nearly enough hardcore MAGAs to win an election by themselves and Biden has pretty much everyone else‘s vote locked in. Even Texas is looking like a toss-up!

As an added bonus, after barely getting any delegates last night all the Bernieites are yelling and accusing each other of stealing email lists or not being true believers or whatever. This is what it sounds like when 0’s and 1’s cry.

Voting is going to be a nightmare with lots of potential for suppression.

I've always wondered why no one from outside the two main parties is in the running for the presidency. I'll admit that US history and US politics are something I've never really properly understood. Are there no other political parties of note and the 2 party system is just too strong for anyone new?

For what it's worth, my instinct is that the election will be close but I'm not sure Biden will win. I think Trump could win again with fewer votes than the Democrats like last time.

He has approximately a 0% chance of winning the popular vote, so ANY electoral college victory would be with a minority of the overall vote share.

Clinton won the popular vote by almost 3 million, Biden, with the right VP, could win the popular vote by 10 million (*depending on covid voter turnout).
Imagine the scenario where Biden wins the popular vote by 10m and Trump wins the electoral college. jeez.
Voting reform should be front and center of any democratic (and republican but I wont hold my breath) administrations to do list.
