Jo to go?

So we'd lose a striker just as Yak heads off to the ANC leaving us with Saha and Vaughan as our remaining forwards, neither of whom has a great track record of staying fit. Doesn't seem the most sensible of ideas.

If he scores about 6 to 10 goals till the end of season in the league till the end i'd offer about 8 million to take him. Clearly he has no future at citeh

Jo is a good egg.

He's not doing great things, but the flashes are there. He will go on to be a Champions League regular, hopefully it's for our club. However, getting him in permananetly would be a pure punt, so I would certainly not pay more than £6m. Perhaps £8m minus his wages for the 18 months would be a decent deal.

If we apply the logic that Man City will usually pay three times a player's true worth (see: Joleon Lescott), 18/3 - £6m.

Everton is a business.
They will only keep hold of assets, and remove liabilities. Jo is in a grey area between the 2 at the moment, and only a huge effort on his part will sway Moyes.
I don't think he has a future here to be honest, but I don't think a few others have either.

Don't believe it's true, with Yakubu going for ANC and Saha being... Saha, we need players. At least for now.

Somebody here pointed out that centre forwards have a tendency to shine a little bit later in their years. With Jo I think it's more of a wrong league choosed (same thing was said by russian commentator of Bate-Everton game), than him developing later.
If anyone, I can see Vic Anichebe developing in next few years (despite almost all of you wanting to get rid of him), just like Carlton Cole did over last 2-3 years.

Well now there is doubt did you mean the shyest or the shittest? I could agree he could be the shyest, but not the shittest, we have all seen much much worse, Barlow, Claus Thomson, Alec Cleland to name a few.

Think Rook made a very good point about tall strikers finding their feet later in life than a lot of other players.
Maple Leaf also had a very good point. This guy at a club like Sevilla or Villarreal would be a star.

Oh, yeah, almost forgot. If we are in a position to gamble at a reasonable price I would like us to gamble on Jo. Honestly think he'll come good.
