If we got a player of Van Bommel's quality in, then i'd be well happy.

Possible I think. It depends what BM are paying him. As far as I'm aware, German clubs aren't huge spenders so his salary should be within our limits.

Will be something like €35.000,- per week, I guess. I know PSV are interested in taking him back, as well as HSV. Should be able to compete with them financially me thinks.

Would absolutely love him at Everton. Would mean my two favourite players in the world, both playing for my fav club.(y)

Whos the other one?

Three points:

Fellaini is the man!

Mark Van Bommel is to old, his powers are on the wain. Moyes will go for a younger model.

Downing would be an excellent addition but i see him going to Spurs or Villa.

Bit of topic but didnt want to start a thread on it, SSN are reporting that Moyes pulled out of a loan dean for Oliver Kapo, at the last minute as he heard he was a bit of ted!

Different players, Neil. VB keeps himself in shape I believe, which kinda knocks a year or so off his chronological age. He could do a job for us, and if available on a free would be an astute signing in my view. (y)

Undoubhtedly mate, for me hes been on the waine form what ive seen of him this season that said it hasnt been every game either by my availability or the fact he hasnt been picked.

That said he could do a job, i just think being on a free he is likely looking for a fair bit of wedge in wages and perhaps a contract that would see him end his career at 34, 35. if we were going for that type of player or making that sort of financial commitment to wages id prefer if it were a young player, who could be here for a few years, with a potential resale value in the furure. I tink Moyes is that same if his buying is anything to go by.

Am i right in saying he hasnt been picked for the Dutch sqaud in a while too. I seem to remember quaotes by him turning us down when he left PSV, but its a vauge recoglection in fairness.

Don't get carried away would be my message. Bolton were beyond dire and I'd like to see him up against some semi-decent centre halfs, and for more than a mere 90 minutes, before a proper judgement can be passed. But if we continue to play quality football I've no doubt he'll keep scoring.
Keep it on the deck and we'll keep winning.
