Think he has just realized the Everton way in pre-season : http://www.nsno.co.uk/news-4915.html

I have always thought he lacks physicality abilities to be a no. 1 (like The Yak). Maybe Everton pre-season is what he needs to be a 20+ striker?

Will be very interesting. I was never his biggest fan, but the lad can play and he can score. Watch this space.

The thought of him and the Yak playing makes me sex wee, they are both natural goalscorers.

5 in 12 wasn't it?

If he carries on that ratio next season he will not be far off.

I've got a source at the club, and he told me that Jo won't be scoring 20 goals this season.

I just want to throw that out there now, so that if (sorry, when) Jo doesn't score 20 it will be factual proof that I have a reliable source.

I've got a source that told med that his source told you that Jo won't be scoring 20 goals this season. So anyway, I have a source :)

Plus for most of the time he didn't have that extra quality of service Arteta will provide...

Think we'll see more out of him when he's not having to struggle up front by himself, he'll do better once we throw a fit Saha or Yakubu up alongside him and the service from Baines, Arteta & Pienaar plus with either Cahill or Fellaini distracting most team's bigger/better defensive players...

Reckon he'll get close.

It depends how many games he gets. If he played, say, 35, which is a lot, I would expect about 15 goals. If he scored 20, then I'll be extremely sad to see him return to City.

I wonder if we've negotiated a fee should the loan be a success?

more precisely I want him to get a 50% goal return :)

Id say 15 max myself, depends on how many games he gets really, some big compitition up top.

I see him more as playing behind the Yak in front of the defence as a type of playmaking centre forward, his finishing is his biggest strength as well as link up play and movement with Arteta, Pienaar and Osman. He gives us a great deeper central threat and asks questions of centre halfs with the ball at his feet infront of them.

OK, in all seriousness, Jo won't score 10 goals this campaign simply because he won't be first choice. He'll spend most of the season coming off the bench for 20 minutes I think. A Yak/Jo partnership is pretty short on workrate, which isn't Moyes style, so when he plays two up front I think it's probably one of Jo/Yak and one of Saha/Vaughan, or possibly Cahill/Fellaini.

Even if he played every game, I think he's too one footed to score 20 goals.

I like to think he could. Had some flashes of brilliance last season. But his away form wasn't up to par a lot of the time. Plus, as someone said, Arteta wasn't there for a lot of the games, which means that when he's fit and playing alongside him, better delivery could lead to more goals.

Wouldnt have that mate, the Yak being lazy is a myth wouldnt call Jo lazy either, Saha for me would be our less mobile striker. Vaughan and Vic are different types of course.

I think Jo will get games, maybe not away days at Wigan, but he offers another dimension to the team that none of our other strikers do.
