He’s always looked a talented player but was never given a proper opportunity. When he did finally get on the pitch under Dyche he knew he had to do something drastic to impress and was therefore rushing things. Absolutely criminal that the director of football had given the previous hopeless manager talented players (O’Brien also) and he simply refused to play them over the likes of Jack Harrison because of the “hard yards” and “nuts and bolts” blah blah blah.
He did mate, I have been his biggest critic.
But he looked a different player today.
Like a weight had been lift off him.
