100% I'd rather have Lindstrom rw, Harrison lw and Alcaraz central. The balance is far better. Moyes got it wrong today, there was no need at all to put square pegs into round holes but he's another one fixated with the fantasy that Doucoure is so vital he must be in the side.
This is basically a lower stakes version of a couple years back's "Mina is fit and should obviously be picked ahead of Calamity Keane" in terms of how obvious a move it is that for some reason the gaffer resists it as it gets progressively worse.

we looked a lot worse and less cohesive with him out of the side

harrison was poor all round and didnt cover as well on the right as jesper does

without the width we looked so much more congested and alcaraz and doucoure kept taking up the same positions

feel like it wouldve been a different game if we went with the usual set up but with charly in for doucoure

I’d say your third paragraph is the key. I’m not sure we were worse because he wasn’t playing as such, we were worse because we had no width. I think people were a bit harsh on Harrison on Saturday personally, he did some rubbish stuff like but he did produce a few things - he was probably our best outlet for much of the game.

Wouldn't disagree. Though you'd hope that's the case for anyone coming to the Prem in a struggling team.

Would you pay the fee to sign him though?
I suppose it depends on the size of the fee. He’s shown flashes and just have a feeling he has something about him that could come to fruition when up to speed with the league.
