Anyway, it seems that the Corbyn supporters have nothing to contribute so I’m off to the pub. Enjoy agreeing with each other......
 
Daniel Hannan has got it spot on as usual........

“This ought to be the end for Jeremy Corbyn. The revelation that he was in contact with an alleged enemy spy during the Cold War would, in normal times, disqualify him from holding any public office, let alone aspiring to lead the nation.

But these are not normal times. I have a horrible suspicion that many on the Left will stick their fingers in their ears and dismiss the exposure as a fabrication. Jezza has admitted to bits of the story, but that hasn’t put his supporters off. The internet is humming with their bizarre denials. Anything that appears in The Sun is by definition untrue, they say. If he did meet a Czechoslovakian spy, albeit one he thought was a diplomat, it was to help de-escalate etc etc....excuse, excuse...etc etc”

He probably read some of this thread...........

This is the same Dan Hannan who has just been exposed as wanting to give us all the opportunity to buy substandard American food, and wipe out British farming?

I also like his use of the phrase "alleged enemy spy", which is a wonderfully economical way of recognizing both that the spy might be talking complete crap, and which also doesn't throw so many of his collegues (including himself) under the bus for talking to and taking money / trips off "friendly" spies.
