Current Affairs Jeremy Corbyn, Russian/Czech agent ?......

I wonder why they used an unadjusted photo of the Tory MP in a suit? Guess it was just luck of the draw that they chose that photo of Corbyn and also just luck of the draw what contrast and colour grading they used.

The colour grading and contrast are the obvious design choices one would go for to make the image sit better with the background. The tory one looks like some work experience kid just slapped it together in 2 minutes.

Im more inclined to believe they just put more effort into the background this time, perhaps because it's a bigger story.

I imagine you're the type to believe in magic beans given the ease with which you'll ignore a reasonable and logical explanation and instead claim its a BBC conspiracy against Corbyn because they used the same stock image they've used for stories about a tory mp and because they adjusted the contrast and colour grading on a photo.
lol lol lol by all means ignore the fact that the story on Newsnight was all about Labour having a Russian problem because Corbyn had the temerity to ask for actual evidence on the Skripal poisoning and the framing of the story was that Corbyn was acting as an agent of foreign powers.

By all means ignore the fact that Gavin Williamson was out of shot of St Basil's Church wearing an ordinary suit and that Corbyn was bang in the middle of the frame, that the actual picture used was of him wearing a hat very similar to a Russian one and by all means that Labour was written in a typeface that looked Soviet style.

Quite clearly Gavin Williamson was being portrayed as responsible and senior government politician; and Corbyn was being portrayed as an untrustworthy figure with dubious ideological links to an Official Enemy. If you want to ignore that or pretend that wasn't the case then carry on deluding yourself.

Then you can also ignore this tweet from Jo Maugham QC who, it is fair to say is not a big Corbyn fan.

You can also ignore the further information he provided in his blog post https://waitingfortax.com/2018/03/19/the-bbc-and-jeremy-corbyn/

None of that changes my view, good effort though m8.

As i said carry on deluding yourself mate ;)

Im not deluding myself, the changes to the colour grading and contrast are the exact choices id make to make the image embed into the background better. It's an obvious choice from a design perspective.

The Russian font is what id focus on for your argument, not the adjustments to the colour grading or contrast which seem like logical design choices from an aesthetic viewpoint.

Personally the issue of whether the hat was photoshopped or not was by and large irrelevant to me. Generally I think the photoshopping issue is a bit of a red herring. The real issue was the whole framing of the story, which includes the overall imagery, that was of concern and did the BBC a dis-service. If we can't have the leader of the opposition actually arguing for evidence in a case such as the Skripal poisoning without the BBC portraying them as an agent of foreign powers then our democracy is in serious trouble.
