Pete - a question is something like "Do you know the way to the Tate Gallery" or "What is the capital of Peru". It is usually something where you seek an answer to something you do not know.

What you asked is a rhetorical question, in that you thought you knew Corbyn was some form of intelligence source because your papers told you that he was. That is why you followed your thread title with:

... and then spent ten pages disagreeing with all the people who gently pointed out to you that it was nonsense.
‘Are tories self serving lizards, intent on maintaining a class structure that primarily benefits themselves?’

‘Are tories self serving lizards, intent on maintaining a class structure that primarily benefits themselves?’

Well 42.4% of the voters voted Tory, so I’m assuming you think 42.4% of the voting population want to maintain a class structure. Can you not see how silly your comment is...........

Very good. I also expect Corbyn to sue the Sun, Mail, Telegraph etc, who know how to do this, or does he only threaten individuals......if I were the MP I’d say let’s see you in court.......

It's a telling indication of the dismal state of our political class that these daft stories are being used to discredit the man rather than the numerous intellectual flaws in his thinking. We've got a right sorry shower across the house at the moment.

‘Do 42.4% of people who voted in the last election only care about themselves?’

Apparently, because they voted Tory they are self serving scumbags who dream of kicking away the crutches of the disabled as I’m sure you will tell us........or maybe, just maybe, they are just ordinary folk who want something better for our country.......

I don’t think anyone actually wants him removed. Brexit could not have happened without his ‘couldn’t give a toss’ campaigning and his continued disinterested view of how it’s going. We need Corbyn to remain in place until we are fully out.......

Well. Yeah. I wouldn't go as far as scumbags myself but self-serving, sure.

Ordinary folk yes but I'd like to ask: Is the country better for having them in power?

Foodbanks, homelessness, tens of thousands less police, fire service, ambulance service, social services. Hospitals being broken up and sold off.
Students having to pay for education, borrowing at commercial rates, outsourcing, zero hour contracts.

I could go on but the gist is this, the right side of politics is about the self and the left about society.
Each side likes to demonise the other by taking each others argument to the extreme
However, the pendulum has appeared to have swung too far one way.
It looks like it's stalling and about to start swinging back.
How long for and how far is yet to be seen.

Ben Bradley surrendered this afternoon:

"On 19 February 2018 I made a seriously defamatory statement on my Twitter account, 'Ben Bradley MP (bbradleymp)', about Jeremy Corbyn, alleging he sold British secrets to communist spies. I have since deleted the defamatory tweet.

"I have agreed to pay an undisclosed substantial sum of money to a charity of his choice, and I will also pay his legal costs.

"I fully accept that my statement was wholly untrue and false. I accept that I caused distress and upset to Jeremy Corbyn by my untrue and false allegations, suggesting he had betrayed his country by collaborating with foreign spies.

"I am very sorry for publishing this untrue and false statement and I have no hesitation in offering my unreserved and unconditional apology to Jeremy Corbyn for the distress I have caused him."

"Conservative Party Vice Chair Ben Bradley has apologised unreservedly for a libellous tweet about Jeremy Corbyn, pledged to never repeat the claims in any form, agreed to make a substantial donation to charities of the Labour Leader’s choosing and meet his legal costs.

Jeremy will be splitting the funds between a homeless charity and a foodbank in Mr Bradley’s constituency of Mansfield."

Czechmate.

Excellent news, meanwhile an ex head of MI6 has said that Corbyn needs to provide some answers. Ben Bradley was an idiot, however there are lots of people just a little bit smarter than him who probably won’t let this go.......
