There's worse things going on than this etc etc why focus on Clarkson etc etc
Yes. But he is a grade A racist **** who should be thrown into a pit and filled in with lime.
Let's have it right. He's the ugly face of Britain, not some overgrown schoolboy who's a bit of a lad.
Is he sculpting those views or reflecting them though? I don't watch telly or read newspapers so couldn't really care less either way, but you'd imagine, such are the numbers of people who appear to support him, that even if he wasn't around, some other mouthpiece for that community would emerge.
Those attitudes are always popular. Sneering at the French, for example, is as old as the modern British state. It's embedded and it is merely articulated by him. He's the big divvy at school who the other kids used to get to shout out rude words because they didn't have the bottle to themselves. He's the champion of the PC-haters.
Clarkson might have an education and a sense of comic timing, but when you cut to the chase he's just a racist bully throwing his weight around because the BBC have continued to pander to him. The fact he survived using the word n*gg*r tells you how craven that organisation is. Imagine an American network allowing a nobhead like that to continue working for them after saying n*gg*r. His feet wouldn't touch.
Probably the end of Top Gear in its current guise too as pretty sure Hammond and May won't resign with BBC after their contracts expire at the end of the month.Been dropped from the Beeb.
Fudging it as a 'no contract extension' but they've basically sacked him and that'll be the end of him on the show.
Yeah, I can't quite believe how animated people are getting over it. I really like Top Gear and despite his obvious issues I don't mind Clarkson. But he has hit someone, while drunk, at work. How could the BBC do anything but fire him."I cannot condone what has happened on this occasion. A member of staff - who is a completely innocent party - took himself to Accident and Emergency after a physical altercation accompanied by sustained and prolonged verbal abuse of an extreme nature."
Yet people will still be mystified as to why he's been sacked... Those people are morons, obviously, but still.
The report has found that he was "verbally abusing" the guy for 20 minutes before a 30 second "physical attack". There were also loads of witnesses. Pretty sure the contract thing is just because the contract is up in a week anyway.@Tubey - they've not had the stones to actually sack him though, so they must have been concerned about the possibility of him coming back with litigation to clear himself. Which would indicate that it's not as clear cut as all that.
Dressing it up as a "no contract extension" is a complete fudge, and will no doubt see him collect tge remainder of his current contract value.
