is inportant we are careful witth the lad be good for him to train alot with the first team then ease him back with some u23 games. Will massively help him settle with allan dacoure now be interesting where carlo sees him play

Would be good if the lad can be fit come December so we have depth over the busy period. About 10 games in 5 weeks, including a Saturday/Monday turnaround over Christmas, so depth will be helpful if not necessary.

But don't rush him. If he needs 3 months, give him 4.

Yes, though he has played CB for other teams in the past as well.

he did at Mainz, sometimes, but I dont think he is as good at that as he is at playing DM. But there may be some games where we need to be more defensive so plying Gbamin and Allan may work well.

I'm not sure we'll ever find out, with his injury record now, box to box may never be in his reach. Although i'm not sure it was ever his role, more defensive minded.

I was thinking about the midfield 3 yesterday and we have ready replacements for Gomes (Sigurdsson, Davies, or maybe Iwobi/Gordon/Bernard). We don’t for Allan and Doucouré though except each other and hopefully Gbamin one day (I’m not counting Delph).

Unfortunately I’m not that confident we’ll ever see the best of him.

Doesn't need to be rushed back by any means but I would love to see him play a part this year.

hopefully we can get him back fit and he can be a rotation option for either of the first choice two. We don’t have any defensive midfield cover except Delph.

I think when he comes back he might be used as the player to close games out. If we are winning bring him on for a more attacking player. The option of also playing CB means he will give the squad more flexibility. This is if he can actually stay fit.
