Aye like Bolasie if he doesnt recover physically he'll be yet another waste on the books until he contract expires in 4 years time.

The amount of players we have finished from bad injuries is crazy

Gbamin
Bolasie
Oviedo
McCarthy
Coleman

All never returned to the levels they were at prior (regardless of how good they actually were beforehand).

Tbf there’s some freak injuries there. Can go further back and Jagielka/Arteta/Yakubu are examples of players who came back from bad injuries. This one doesn’t seem good though it’s incredibly rare in footballers (more a basketball injury). It’s from overload as well so it’s entirely our fitness teams fault they should know where each player is at. Unless JPG has withheld information but they should be able to work out where their charges are up to. This one was entirely preventable sadly.

oh good, in the last 45 minutes we've found out that JP is raging drug addict who is also finished because of his injury and is now a waste on our resources

Great site lads
I find it hilarious how you have all the excuses in the world for our dross, clearly 12th is good enough for you.

Let be fair here. It's not Terry from the Sunday League team who's got any injury and now walks with a bit of a limp. (Sorry Tez!) He's got access to the best medical people money can buy. Hopefully not Evertons like! Top athletes have come back from way worse.

Name a worse injury an Everton player has had in the last twenty years?

Gomes foot was facing backward 2 weeks before Xmas.

Looked far worse than it was. Didn’t do any lasting tendon/ligament damage and was a pretty clean break.

JPG’s injury is usually associated with overuse or age (often over 40s, over 60s regularly get it when playing sports). It’s not usually an injury you’d expect from a footballer. There’s studies in America on American footballers who have successfully returned from it but their breakdowns have decreased fairly significantly. I don’t think he’ll be physically the same player but we shall see.
